Goodness! Our Chapter Meetings are taking a toll on my poor body! I could not fall asleep last night. Well, I fell asleep right away and then I woke up at midnight and could not go back to sleep again.
Our Chapter Meetings happen once every five years. You might not know this about me but I would rather drink…not necessarily an all out and out poison…but something that I would really dislike drinking. Oh, my! Give me hard labor in the rock quarry rather than sitting and going over and over a two or three sentence paragraph! That is not me!
So, when I could not sleep I decided to try reading one of my books. I am reading three books at the same time. One is Catholicism Rediscovered, another El Libro de la Vida, written by la Santa Teresa de Avila herself, and another book by Anne Rice entitled: Angel Time. At first I read Santa Teresa’s book for about 15 minutes. I have to strain to read in Spanish when I am tired. Then I picked up Angel Time. Wow! With just my small bedside light turned on and with the wind howling outside, I got kind of scared. The suspense in the book was so great! I started to feel my heart thumping. A real thriller!
